South Coast Engineers was the lead design coastal engineer for the 2024 renourishment and expansion of the 2015-2016 Dauphin Island East End Beach and Barrier Island Restoration. The new beach is 400 feet wider and has large sand dunes south of houses that were in the surf before the project. This new beach is being heavily used by people on a daily basis including a summer-evenings beach movie series, a sandcastle-building contest, swimming, and thousands of beautiful beach walks.
